New York City Department of Health Selects AtTask to Manage IT Projects
DOHMH's Bureau of Informatics and Information Technology to use AtTask to plan, create and monitor project success

OREM, Utah – February 7, 2006 — AtTask, Inc., a leading provider of project management software, today announced that the Bureau of Informatics and Information Technology of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) has selected AtTask's enterprise project management software to manage IT projects for the 6,000 person organization. The DOHMH will use AtTask to plan all IT projects, create project timelines, monitor progress on the projects and produce reports for upper management.

AtTask provides the DOHMH with an easy–to–implement, Web–managed approach to project management that is designed to help increase organizational efficiencies, maximize management resources, facilitate team collaboration and foster individual responsibility and productivity. DOHMH chose AtTask because AtTask offers a role and queue based system, provides better grouping of projects and users, and includes an integrated Helpdesk module.

"AtTask makes it easy to put together project teams and assign deliverables and tasks to users and or groups. In addition, the system?s queue–based workflow, which allows assigned users to login and update task status and attach project documents and notes, is very useful for project tracking and ensuring that project teams have all the information they need to complete their tasks." said Hadi Makki, Assistant Commissioner of the DOHMH?s Bureau of Informatics and Information Technology.

Hadi Makki continued, "We will use AtTask to improve project information sharing and provide transparency for all projects we undertake. AtTask gives our development team directors a better sense of the workload, and allows them to better allocate resources and plan for future projects."

Each member of the IT bureau?s 140–person staff has an account and role in AtTask. Administrators can implement AtTask to define its staff in terms of groups, roles and access levels for multiple projects and tasks. Users can then customize their AtTask portal to give them a comfortable interface and convenient access to their roles and responsibilities. Users can access AtTask securely from any Internet browser or WAP–enabled device.

"AtTask is an ideal solution for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene," said Abraham Knell, vice president of sales for AtTask, Inc. "The DOHMH IT department is a forward thinking organization that recognizes that AtTask's substantial feature set and functionality can help it's staff to get work done. With more than 6,000 people in multiple locations counting on them, the Agency's IT staff now has a centrally managed system that will ensure that team members understand their roles and responsibilities and that projects do not fall through the cracks. We are pleased that the DOHMH has selected our technology, and we look forward to helping them achieve ongoing project success."
