Workfront Recognized as a Leader in 2015 Gartner Magic Quadrant

SILICON SLOPES, UT May 27, 2015 — Workfront, the leading provider of cloud-based Enterprise Work Management solutions, announced that the company has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders Quadrant of the Gartner Inc., 2015 Magic Quadrant for Cloud-Based IT Project and Portfolio Management Services1. Workfront, formerly AtTask, has been listed in the Leaders Quadrant for four consecutive years.

“We believe Workfront’s inclusion in the Leaders Quadrant is confirmation of our dedication to improving and enhancing both our product and service offerings to meet the needs of our customers,” said Eric Morgan, CEO of Workfront. “We understand the complexity of enterprise teams and their need for a solution to quell the chaos of their work. Unlike traditional project management tools, Workfront is a single tool that manages all types of work, from large projects to small ad hoc requests. This targeted focus on improving the efficiency of how work gets done has been an important part of helping us remain leaders in the work management industry.”

The Gartner report states that, “Cloud-based IT PPM service providers identified as Leaders in this Magic Quadrant meet many IT PPM application functionality and process automation requirements of targeted consumers. Leaders provide robust and comprehensive functionality specifically for internal IT departments — either for the project-execution-level customer or for the portfolio-level customer, and sometimes both types of customers. Due to the increasing need for multiple IT PPM capabilities supporting multiple modes of project execution, leaders in this Magic Quadrant are not necessarily created equal. Some of the leaders are suited well for directive IT PPM, while others are better suited for adaptive IT PPM. It is rare that any IT PPM provider can support the best of both modes, without also offering multiple products to do so.”

Gartner evaluates vendors on 15 weighted criteria based on their relative strengths in the market, including: product/service, overall viability, sales execution/pricing, market responsiveness/record, marketing execution, customer experience, operations, market understanding, marketing strategy, sales strategy, offering (product) strategy, business model, vertical/industry strategy, innovation, and geographic strategy.

Gartner recognizes Workfront in two of the analyst firm’s Magic Quadrants. In addition to being listed as a Leader in the Cloud-based PPM Magic Quadrant, Gartner also listed Workfront as a “Challenger” in the 2015 Magic Quadrant for Marketing Resource Management2.
